🚗 Downtown Athens Parking Meters To Be Replaced
The Athens Downtown Development Authority is preparing to replace downtown's traditional parking meters with the ParkMobile app before UGA students return for the fall semester. Drivers will be able to pay for on-street parking through the app or a mobile web browser.
Why It Matters: The change is designed to streamline downtown parking and make paying for a space quicker and more convenient for residents and visitors.

☕️ UGA grad bringing new coffee shop to Athens
A University of Georgia graduate is bringing Three Tree Coffee Roasters to Athens with a new café planned inside the upcoming 290 Lumpkin development. The shop is expected to open in summer 2027.
Why It Matters: The addition will give residents and students another locally owned coffee option.
