If you have no idea what the event I’m talking about is:
We pair tables of 6 strangers together at a great local restaurant as a way to meet new people in the city specifically tailored to your vibe.
How it works:
Take a short personality quiz
Get matched with 5 compatible guests
We pick the restaurant, handle the details, and provide conversation starters
You just show up.
If you've been craving conversations with substance (the kind that remind you why community matters) then this is for you. If you want to reserve your limited spot (or read about it more), just click below:
“I would definitely go again and will highly recommend to my friends!” - Sydney Burd
“I’m looking forward to the next outing!! So fun!!” - Joy Hoyt
In today’s Scoop:
☕ 7 Brew plans to turn the Starbucks at 100 College Ave. into its own coffee shop.
🎨 More than 100 UGA student artists sell their work at the Dodd Market today, noon to 6 p.m.

🔁 Left an Old 401(k) at a Past Employer? Start With These Three Questions
Changing jobs can leave you with more than just a new routine. You may also have a retirement account from a previous employer that you’re not quite sure what to do with.
Burney / Ellington Wealth Management in Athens helps people understand their options, with Zach Ellington as the advisor you’ll meet.
Over time, it’s easy to accumulate retirement accounts from different jobs, each with its own fees, investments, and rules. Before deciding whether to move or combine them, it’s worth asking a few questions: What are you paying in fees? Do your investments still match your timeline? And what tax implications come with the move you’re considering?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. every situation is different and personal, and that’s exactly what Zach is committed to helping Athens families work through.
Have questions about your old retirement accounts? Set up a free coffee with Zach and bring a list of your accounts so you can talk through your options together.
For educational purposes only. Not individualized tax, legal or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional about your situation.

☕ 7 Brew plans to replace the College Avenue Starbucks
The Gist: An Athens-Clarke County plans-review notice lists a proposal to renovate the existing Starbucks at 100 College Ave. into a 7 Brew coffee shop. Tayva Holdings LLC is named as the project contact. The notice does not say the renovation has been approved or give an opening date.
Why It Matters: If the project goes ahead, people who get coffee at that downtown address would find 7 Brew there instead. The county notice gives no date for a Starbucks closure, so there is no confirmed change to today's service.
