🩺 UGA Names New Nursing School Leader
The University of Georgia has named Laika Steiger as senior associate dean for administration and operations in the Victoria Kay Ivester School of Nursing. The school is preparing to launch UGA's first Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, with a new nursing building on the Health Sciences Campus expected to open in 2029.
Why It Matters: Steiger's appointment marks another step in UGA's effort to expand nursing education and help address Georgia's projected nursing shortage.
