🎓 Clarke County's graduation rate rises to 86.35%
The Gist: State education data put Clarke County School District's 2026 four-year graduation rate at 86.35%, now up 4.5% from 2025 and its highest since before 2011. Clarke Central reached 87.34%, and Cedar Shoals 86.51%. Classic City High's rate dipped slightly to 73.08%.
Why It Matters: At Cedar Shoals, the graduation rate for Black students rose 8.38% to 89.51%. At Clarke Central, the graduation rate for Hispanic students rose 7.44% to 88.57%. Superintendent Jennifer Scott believes that this proves what is possible when we focus on strong instruction, building good relationships, and removing barriers to student success.
