Our tenth Dinner Club was amazing! Thank you to all of the people who came this Tuesday.
If you have no idea what the event Iโm talking about is:
We pair tables of 6 strangers together at a great local restaurant as a way to meet new people in the city specifically tailored to your vibe.
How it works:
Take a short personality quiz
Get matched with 5 compatible guests
We pick the restaurant, handle the details, and provide conversation starters
You just show up.

In todayโs Scoop:
๐ณ๏ธ Precincts 3B, 7A and 8A have new polling places for Nov. 3.
๐ย Early voting is scheduled to start Oct. 13 at the Costa Building downtown.

๐คฟ October's Scuba Class Filled Up. Here's How to Get Into November's.

For 27 years, Dolphin Dive Center has been where Athens goes when learning to scuba dive finally moves from "maybe someday" to the calendar. Its October beginner class is already full.
The next one is in November, and it's built for people who have never been underwater with a tank on their back. No previous scuba certification is required. You spend November 7โ8 in the classroom and the pool learning the gear and the skills, then finish with your open water checkout dives on November 14โ15 alongside an instructor.

Two weekends, and you come out certified to dive. Thousands of people have taken that first step at Dolphin Dive. Some have since logged hundreds of dives around the world, some became instructors, and some now bring their own kids through the same Open Water course.
Can't make November? The December class runs December 5โ6, with checkout dives December 19โ20. Fill out the short form on the Say Yes page to ask about a spot, or call the shop at (706) 548-3483. It's on Atlanta Highway, right next to the Blind Pig.

๐ณ๏ธ Three Athens precincts have new polling places for Nov. 3
The Gist: For the November 3, 2026 General & Special Election, Athens-Clarke County Elections Department assigned Precinct 3B to the Bobby Snipes Water Resource Center (780 Barber St.), Precinct 7A to the Athens-Clarke County Library (2025 Baxter St.) and Precinct 8A to Hilsman Middle School (870 Gaines School Road).
Why It Matters: Election Day voters must use their new assigned polling place, so check your location before heading out.
What's Next: Early voting is scheduled to begin October 13, with different locations through the month of October.

๐ Andy Has Spent About 40 Years Behind the Wheel. Now He Needs More Drivers.

Andy Frost has about 40 years of driving behind him, including railroad and airport work. In 2023 he started Andyโs Transport Services in Athens, and now he's looking for more drivers to take trips alongside him.
The job is on-call with no set schedule, so you drive when you're available, part-time or full-time. Drivers are paid daily, and Andy says they can earn better than rideshare.
You'll need a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Andy likes to talk with people directly, so call him at 762-400-2141 or reach out through his website.
