Athica Athens Institute

ATHICA (Athens Institute for Contemporary Art) is an all volunteer, independent nonprofit art organization at 675 Pulaski Street, Suite 1200, in the Five Points area of Athens, GA. Everything about ATHICA runs on community energy. There is no paid staff. Volunteers handle exhibitions, programming, and operations, which keeps the organization nimble and deeply connected to the local arts scene. ATHICA maintains two main gallery spaces and a satellite gallery at Cine, where rotating exhibitions feature curated juried shows, solo and group artist showcases, member exhibitions, and pop up events. Signature programs include StudioFest, an annual art and craft crawl across Athens, an Artist in Residence program offering month long residencies, the annual Members Showcase, and benefit events like the Cigar Box Challenge and CHARMing Art Challenge.
